Improv Bag Class


This cute tote bag is perfect for any work in progress that needs to be carried from room to room or from home to class. Use up your scraps to make this quilt as you go improv bag. Class will start promptly at 10:30 am and run through 4:30 pm. Bring your lunch and come ready to enjoy learning how to make this versatile bag on October 9th at Quilters Square.

Requirements:1/2 yard Soft & Stable or foam batting alternative A focus fabric to build your design around - Two 4-5? squares - one for the grant and one for the back. A variety of fabric scraps that coordinate with your focus fabric - Or make it totally scrappy (Sample was made with Tula Pink?s Curiouser and Curiouser and other coordinating Tula fabrics) One 12? square of fabric for inside pocket 1/2 yard for lining 1/4 yard for binding (a fat quarter works best) Basic sewing supplies including seam ripper, pins and Wonder clips. Rotary cutter, ruler, and mat Paper cutting scissors Clear tape Sharpie pen to trace pattern onto Soft and Stable Sewing machine with new needle Walking foot if you have one Thread for quilting and a couple full bobbins
