Lucky Charm Pillow



Project Techniques:
   Using a template to cut half hexagons, sewing accurate 1/4” seams, “no dog eared” corner shaping, envelope pillow backing, straight line machine quilting.

Skill Details:
Requirements: Thirty 5" squares OR thirty 2 1/2" x10" strips, 2/3 yard fabric for pillow back, 2/3 yard Muslim for quilt backing(not seen - inside pillow) 24" x 24" piece of lightweight flat batting such as Warm and Natural. Sewing machine with quarter-inch and walking feet. Rotary mat, cutter, ruler, and 60" ruler such as the Side Kick or Hex N More by Jaybird Quilts. Class Preparation: Cut 30 Charm squares in half to measure 5" x 2 1/2". If using jelly roll scraps, you will need 30 that measure 10" x 2 1/2" - do not cut them into 5" pieces.
