| Requirements: | Please copy or trace pattern for LARGE bag onto Pattern Ease, copy paper, freezer paper or whatever you use to copy patterns and bring to class. You'll want to save the original pattern. MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED: To save classroom time, please come with all the following pieces already cut: Fabric: Cut (1) 17"x12" piece for bag body. If you use directional fabric, cut two 9"x12" pieces of body bag fabric instead. Cut (1) 17"x12" piece for lining Cut (2) 3"x3" pieces for grab tabs Cut (2) 5.5" x 4.5" pieces for side panels (these will on the interior of the bag) Cut (2) 2.25" x 5" pieces for binding (this binding is on interior of the bag) Cut (1)17"x12" piece of Soft and Stable 20" or larger handbag zipper (pattern calls for double slide zipper but you can also use single slide) Thread for quilting and assembly. Tools you will need: Sewing Machine Zipper foot, 1/4 inch foot and walking foot (if you have it) Scissors Pins Marking tool 12" ruler Also Recommended: Wonder Clips Stiletto (holds pieces in place especially for zipper and binding) |
